• Identification documents / ID information: government-issued identification details (and copies where requested). 
• Booking-related information: travel dates, property, number of guests, messages and requests you submit.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive information unless you voluntarily provide it and it is reasonably necessary for your booking request.
2. Why we collect and use it
We use personal information to:
• process and administer bookings and payments;
• verify identity, conduct due diligence and guest screening; 
• communicate booking confirmations, check-in instructions, support messages, and updates;
• manage property operations (including damage reports, disputes, and enforcement of house rules);
• comply with applicable laws and regulations.
3. How we store and protect information
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information against misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. Access is restricted to authorised personnel and service providers who need it to deliver booking-related services.
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes above and to meet legal, regulatory, tax, insurance, or dispute-resolution requirements.
4. When we may share information
We do not sell personal information. We may share your information only where reasonably necessary for:
• Insurance claims (including claims involving property damage or incidents); or
• Legal or law enforcement requests where disclosure is required or authorised by law; or
• service providers involved in delivering booking services (e.g., booking engine provider, payment processor), subject to appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.
This aligns with our booking agreement privacy acknowledgement and operational needs (including due diligence and screening).

Our website and booking engine may use cookies and similar technologies for functionality, analytics, and service delivery.
Important: cookie settings and cookie-related disclosures may be controlled by the website platform provider and/or the booking engine operator. Superhost Union does not independently manage or assume responsibility for third-party cookie policies or their configurations.
